Excerpt from
Hearing Dog
A hearing dog comes to stay and the right-behind-me dog is led astray.
‘It is going to be awful, I bet he is a horrible, stuck up, insufferable little goody two shoes who never does anything wrong and always obeys orders.’ Wailed the right-behind-me dog.

The reason that the right-behind-me dog was so cross and put out was because their owner was having a friend to stay and, because the friend was deaf, she would be bringing her hearing dog with her.
‘He will seriously cramp my style,’ said the dog.
‘It seriously needs cramping,’ said the cat, who usually had the job of sorting out the dogs messes and muddles.
The right-behind-me dog stomped off to their shared basket to have a good sulk.
Some time later in the day the kitchen door opened and the little hearing dog, a beautiful little chocolate coloured dog, came in to meet his new friends. The right-behind-me dog gave an almighty yelp.
‘Hey it’s Oaky,’ he yelled deafening the under-my-feet cat.
How did he know Oaky? What happened when these two got together and behaved very badly? Download the story and find out.
